Shri Bhagwat Prasad Singh Memorial B.Ed. College, Darbhanga, Bihar, is a teacher training institute. The college, affiliated to Lalit Narayan Mithila University, was set up in the year 2007, and it has been nurturing young professional lives of teachers in the making for the past decade. The 1-acre campus is just more than compact, allowing focused learning with the institution for the said course. With 223 students and 31 faculty members, it maintains an optimum ratio of students to teachers, allowing quality education with a personalized curriculum approach. The college is approved under NCTE, which states its commitment to follow the norms in programs of teacher-training education.

At the academic front, the college offers two full-time courses under its banner, namely a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). The intake capacity for the two-year B.Ed course stands at 200 students, and the two-year programme in D.El.Ed can enroll 100 hands. These programmes in the college offer the would-be teachers to familiarize themselves with skills and knowledge applicable to their successful career in teaching. The student intake of the college for the two programmes, combinedly, stands at 300. This figure becomes important in the field of teacher education for the region.  

Admission to Shri Bhagwat Prasad Singh Memorial B.Ed. College is usually done on a merit basis according to the marks scored at the level of the qualifying test and/or entrance examination. The admission to the B.Ed. course will be made in accordance with the policy of the State Government/UT administration and affiliated University. Admission to D.El.Ed. course shall also be in consonance with the directions of the state government and UT administration through merit system. This method sees to it that admission processes are fair and are guided by a clear and transparent manner of eliciting students.
