Shri Chimasaheb Jagdale Institute of Technology, Kolhapur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Shri Chimasaheb Jagdale Institute of Technology, Kolhapur, was one of the primary institutes established in the year 2013. It is spread with an affiliated college area of 15 acres and is situated at Narsobawadi in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The AICTE approves SCJIT, so the quality of the education streams in technical categories is taken care of. 

SCJIT offers all necessary facilities to its students for a pursuit of learning process. Separate hostels for boys and girls assure an ideal setting for their academic development as well as growth in personalities. A well-stocked library with over 10,000 books, 4500 Textbooks, and various National and International Journals is the knowledge centre for students and faculty alike. The campus also has a modern IT infrastructure, which includes a 5 Mbps broadband connection and branch-wise 10 Mbps connections for seamless access to digital resources. Its infrastructure includes remarkable sports facilities concerned with cricket, football, kho-kho, kabaddi, and indoor games, among others. The SCJIT facilities also include equipped laboratories, an auditorium for all the events and seminars, and a convenient cafeteria. 

The institute provides a total of four diploma courses, all of which are full-time programmes. Following are the courses: Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Computer Engineering, and Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Each is of 3 years' duration and provides an in-depth level of knowledge coupled with practical exposure of fields to the students. Electrical Engineering has the highest number of 60 seats, and the rest of the three courses serve 30 seats each, amounting to a total intake of 150 seats approved.
