UPES B.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #42 among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF | Highest CTC 50 LPA , 100% Placements
Hello
Both the institutes are good but as fra as placements are concerned ICT Bombay has better placements. In ICT Bombay the average placement salary offered is around 5 lakh per annum whereas no such public information is present for SGGS Nanded. The recruiting companies in ICT are Asian Paints, BASF India, Black & Veatch, Cipla, DSM SOFT, Evalueserve, Exxon ,Galaxy Surfactants, HONEYWELL . The companies who visit SGGS Nanded are L&T Infotech, SYNTEL ,Tata Motors and WELSPUN. I will advise you to contact any of the students already studying in both the institutes for a deeper insight on the placements.
Dear student,
Placements for all the branches at SGGS Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nanded are good. Also for the CSE branch, the placements are good. For the past few sessions, around 60-70% of the students are getting placements in CSE branch. The salary package offered by companies varies from 2.5 LPA to 7 LPA. Top companies like TCS, IBM, HCL, and many more visit the campus for recruitment.
Hope this helps.

Hi Qazi,
firstly I take this opportunity to congratulate you on securing a percentile of 94.11 in the entrance examination and how to answer your question you are more than eligible to get admission under tuition fee waiver category in several colleges under the entrance examination of your application but for a more precise answer you need to clearly mention the name of the entrance examination that you are referring to so that a more accurate picture is displayed to you for your perusal.
Best wishes!
Hello Ravi, MH CET(Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is taken to get admisison into engineering colleges of Maharashtra. You can check more information at https://www.careers360.com/colleges/shri-guru-gobind-singhji-institute-of-engineering-and-technology-vishnupuri/cut-off as you have not mentioned any particular branch for cutoff details.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
See, mention the state you are talking about.. Till then, I'll tell you about my state - MHT-CET entrance exam. Government colleges like VJTI had cutoff around 177 marks for CS courses and around 171 for IT branch. If you talk about best private colleges, then CS and IT there had cutoff around 150 marks. Other fields like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, etc in VJTI, SARDAR PATEL COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING had cutoff around 150-160 marks.
So to get the best branch in best college, you need to get 175+ to be one the safest of sides. I had 157 last year and I got CS branch not in any government colleges of my state, but atleast in one of the best private colleges.
Feel free to ask any further query.
Best wishes. Thank-you.
Yes , I can tell you true face of sggs production branch as I am studying in sggs production 2nd year.
Last time there was only 5 students placed in TCS .
Faculty is much better.
I will advise that if you're willing to do job right after btech then not to join production branch.
But if you are willing to study abroad or thinking about pg then sggs best option as there are only 3 goverment colleges in Maharashtra with production branch. As government college with production branch is preferred option for industrial job.
Hello Aspirant,
Production engineering is a mixture of manufacturing technology, engineering sciences with management science.
Automobile engineering is a branch of vehicle engineering containing elements of electrical, mechanical, software engineering as well.
Both are good at it's own place but you need to decide in which you are interested and what you have your plans for your future. If you are interested in designing then you can have a bright future although not in India but other countries. But if you are interested R and D then you might go for production as there you might get jobs easily especially in India.
I would also suggest you to get complete knowledge by comparing both the colleges on the link given below:

Feel free to ask your doubts.
Good luck!!!
