Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Government Polytechnic College, Ranwan was set up in 2012 at Ranwan, Vill & Teshil Fatehgarh Sahib District Punjab as an affiliated polytechnic college. This AICTE approved government institution occupies a 4 acres area at the Chandigarh-Ludhiana Highway. Currently the college has two diploma programmes with a student capacity of 177 and staffed by the College’s 22 member faculty. This institute offers undergraduate courses in Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering with an objective of offering technical education to engineering students.

SGHSGPC provides Two Diploma courses, both these are annual systems full time Diplomas courses having duration of three years each. The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and the Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering programmes each cost about USD 120/year and are allowed 60 new admits each year, for a total of 120 admits. These courses are created to equip the students with practical knowledge in their areas of specialization with a view of enabling them work effectively in today’s ever growing technological world.
