Shri Jamuna Ram Degree College Ballia was established in the year 1999. Being an affiliated college, it is located in Chitbaragaon, Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, and spread over 5.16 acres with various educational streams and strength of about 1,861 students. This college has made a space for itself for its quality education and is duly accredited by the NCTE. The college has a faculty strength of 8 dedicated teachers. It offers 6 courses in 5 undergraduate programmes, mainly in Education, Arts, and Home Science. 

Shri Jamuna Ram Degree College Ballia has quite a number of facilities to back up the learning process of the students. The main facilities are a well-stocked library with over 4,000 books on all subjects and journals of interest, with special stress on B.Ed. books and resources. It also has a well-maintained and spacious reading room with facilities for reading magazines and newspapers, which helps in creating an ideal atmosphere for study. The institution provides one of the finest IT infrastructures in the college. The advanced computer laboratory can accommodate 60 students at a time and is well-equipped with a view to ensuring a 1:1 ratio of computers to students. The computers are all interconnected through LAN. Internet access through BSNL Broadband is provided so that connectivity is maintained in the present digital world. 

The courses available in Shri Jamuna Ram Degree College are 6 in number, all of which are full-time. These include undergraduate courses like B.A. and B.Ed., and the postgraduate courses include M.A. in Education, M.A. in Home Science, and M.Ed. The institution is also offering a course in D.El.Ed. The total students' intake of the institution across all its courses are 740; of these, the B.A. programme is the biggest, which has 400 seats. 

Admission process of Shri Jamuna Ram Degree College varies for all the degrees. Admission to B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes shall be made on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examination and/or entrance examination as per policy of State Government, UT administration, or University. Admission to D.El.Ed shall also be made as per above merit based.
