Shri Krishna College of Education, Baghpat: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Shri Krishna College of Education, Baghpat, was established in the year 2013 as a co-educational institution with the prime motive of nurturing future educators. The affiliated college is located at the 14th KM Stone, Baghpat-Meerut Road, in the state of Uttar Pradesh and sprawls over an area of 2.5 acres. This NCTE-approved institute has two full-time courses with a total student enrolment of 128. The faculty strength of the college is 16, and it has maintained a very appreciable student-to-teacher ratio.

Here are the facilities within the college that would enrich the experience of students in their campus life. The library is well-stocked, having up-to-date books and periodicals, making it a learning centre for many aspiring teachers. There are sports facilities, a recreation room, and a gym for students so inclined. The campus is provided with all modern amenities. A fully equipped computer lab with multimedia workstations helps the students to keep pace with the ever-evolving technological changes in the teaching-learning environment. The concern of the institution towards the all-round development of the students is reflected in the setting up of an auditorium for events and seminars that help build a rich campus life. 

Shri Krishna College of Education offers two comprehensive courses in the field of education. The Bachelor of Education course is of two years; full-time with an intake of 100 students. The institute also offers a two-year D.El.Ed course with 50 seats, which are full-time, for those interested in elementary education. At the same time, the structure of both programs is oriented to provide students with skills and up-to-date knowledge of the teaching profession. 

The admission process in courses is different. In Shri Krishna College of Education, for the B.Ed. course, candidates shall be admitted only through counseling based on  IPU-CET. This way, only the most deserving students are allocated a seat in the program. The D.El.Ed. programme shall be conducted in the light of admission policies of State Government or UT Administration. The selection process is mostly on merit, and the marks scored in a qualifying examination and/or an entrance examination.
