Shri Mohansinh Chhotubhai Rathava College of Arts was established in the year 1992 at Pavi-Jetpur, Gujarat, an affiliated college to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat. A co-educational institution, on a 4.75 acre campus it imparts both a set of traditional values and modern education. It has 1,292 students on its rolls, with a faculty strength of 10, making it an ideal atmosphere for higher learning and shaping of personalities. Presently, the institution offers only one degree programme in the form of a B. Sc, which simply demonstrates an emphasis on quality education being imparted in the science stream.

Amenities are available in the college to improve the quality of the student experience. At the centre of these is the library—an ocean of knowledge spread over more than 3,000 sq. ft. This resource centre is fully computerized and comprises a huge collection of 424 textbooks, 21 reference books, 537 other books, and 36 journals and periodicals. There exists a well-equipped computer laboratory in the working college with about 45 computers provided with internet connectivity and audio visual facilities. Supplementing these resources are department-based laboratories that provide hands-on experience in the field chosen by more technology-oriented students.

Currently, only one full-time course is offered in Shri Mohansinh Chhotubhai Rathva College of Arts, Baroda: the B.Sc. It is a three-year undergraduate degree course whose main objective is to build a strong base of knowledge in Science among its learners. A single comprehensive course on offer does reflect seriousness on the part of the institution for imparting quality science education.
