The college offers a wide choice of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in arts and sciences, and it is one of the oldest colleges dating in the Narmada district of Gujarat. The admission process at Shri M.R. Arts and Science College is made to be smooth and easy and student-friendly, right from the aspirants coming from diverse backgrounds with specific academic objectives. Admissions into the college are based mostly on merit, relying primarily on the previous qualifying examination performance of the applicants. This college is affiliated and thus adheres to the admission policies laid down by its parent university.

Admission Process

Degree wise Admission Process

BA (Bachelor of Arts): The college offers a three-year undergraduate course in Arts. Admission into the BA program is based on merit-list prepared by marks obtained in the qualifying 10+2 examination. Various subjects are offered by the college for students to choose among.

B.Sc (Bachelor of Science): This is also a three-year undergraduate program. The admission process for B.Sc is similar to that of BA, with merit list prepared out of 10+2 marks. However, preference may be given to students who have studied science subjects in their higher secondary education. 

M.Sc Organic Chemistry: This is a two-year postgraduate program offered by the college. Admission to M.Sc Organic Chemistry is usually based on marks scored in the relevant bachelor's degree (preferably Chemistry or related discipline). The college may conduct an entrance test or interview for the final selection of short-listed candidates.

MA Hindi: The college offers a two-year postgraduate program in Hindi. Admission to MA Hindi is generally based on the merit list prepared from the marks obtained in the qualifying bachelor's degree, preferably in Hindi or a related subject. The college may also consider holding interviews for the final selection.
