Shri Ram Tirth Chaudhary Mahavidyalaya, Balrampur, as one of the affiliated colleges of Uttar Pradesh, which provides a variety of undergraduate as well as postgraduate programs. This college follows an exhaustive admission process to choose candidates that truly deserve admission in various courses being offered. The admission process for the college generally coincides with the academic calendar, primarily starting around the months of August-September. The college offers full-time courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels exceeding ten. In undergraduate programs, the college provides courses for BA, BSc, Home Science, BCom, and B.Ed. Programs at the postgraduate level include the MA programs in Sociology, Education, Political Science, Home Science, and Hindi.

Criteria may vary as per eligibility for admission for the different programs. Students qualifying for the admission criteria at the undergraduate level need to have passed the 10+2 examination, whereas, students for admission in the postgraduate programs should have a graduation degree in the relevant field/discipline, obtained from a recognized university.  The B.Ed admission process of Shri Ram Tirth Chaudhary Mahavidyalaya is different from the others. For the B.Ed course, admissions will be granted on merit considering the marks obtained in either the qualifying examination or the entrance examination.

Degree wise Admission Process

BA: The college offers a Bachelor of Arts program with an approved intake of 720 seats. Admission to the BA program is based on performance in their respective 10+2 examination. The total fee for the BA course is Rs 15,000.

B.Ed: The B.Ed program has limited seats of 100. The merit basis is considered for admission to the B.Ed program, i.e., performance in the qualifying exam and/or entrance test. The total fee for the B.Ed course is Rs 81,250.

BSc and BSc Home Science: The college offers Bachelor of Science with a specialized BSc Home Science. Admission is on the base of 10+2(Science subjects).

BCom: Admissions for the Bachelor of Commerce are given based upon the candidate's performance in the 10+2 examination (commerce-related subjects).

MA Programs: The department considers MA in Sociology, Education, Political Science, Home Science, and Hindi in admission. To be considered for admission, the candidate must have completed a bachelor's degree in the relevant subject area. Fees for the MA programs vary:

1. Rs 14,000 for MA Sociology
2. Rs 16,000 for MA Political Science
3. Rs 24,000 for MA Home Science.
