Shri Rampal Mahavidyalaya is one of the young college set up recently in 2016, located in Atrauli, Sandila, Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. This affiliated college is committed to delivering quality education in the faculties of science and agriculture. Located on a 5-acre plot of land, the college at present has a total strength of 141 students and 2 faculty members. It provides three B.Sc courses, which show that the college has narrow specialisation in the field of major subjects. The college in this case has the usual outlook of giving the students a balanced education together with character.
It also has such amenities that are expected to nurture the academic and character development of the students, respectively. Particularly, the Department of Physical Education provides spacious standard sports facilities, mainly with all requisite sporting facilities, including football field, basketball court, badminton court, indoor games, kabaddi, kho-kho, etc. Here emphasis is placed on physical activities, which testifies to the desire of the college to develop the students in a comprehensive manner. The library, another important facility, contains an estimate of two thousand books on just about every topic desirable. They found out that it offer accesses to the monthly periodicals, magazines and employment newspapers both in Hindi and English, which can be of great use for student’s academic activities as well as general information. By adopting such a strategic vision, the school maps the students for the technological challenges that are anticipated to accompany their working lives.
Shri Rampal Mahavidyalaya offers three full-time programmes: B.Sc. Biology, B.Sc Maths, and B.Sc. Agriculture. The B.Sc. programme takes three years, while the B.Sc. in Agriculture takes four years, which will enable the students to achieve breadth and depth in the fields of specialisation they choose.
The college is populated with well-equipped laboratories, as laboratories form an important component of the college education system. Science laboratories include chemistry/lab, physics, zoology, and botanical lab for the Faculty of Science. The Faculty of Agriculture specifically benefits from the divisional laboratories such as dairy chemistry, entomology, botany, extension, agronomy, engineering, agriculture math, agriculture chemistry, and horticulture.
