Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Science and Education is an affiliated college which was founded in the year 2003 at Kalapuram, Jhansi Road, Datia, Madhya Pradesh. The institute is affiliated with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The total enrolment of students in the institute is 226 & it provides three full time courses in education only. 

The library forms the central space of the institute possesses approximately 30000 books of different fields of study. It is computerised and automated and is also periodically reviewed and updated to suit the current advancement in technology. The DELNET facility gives access to one thousand national and international library resources. A part of the IT infrastructure is an Internet facility that is open 24 hrs/day and the centre has 12MBPS connection. To assure that the students are comfortable, the campus has has separate hostel for boys and girls, which provides homey environment. A modern cafeteria is available serving continental, Chinese, and Indian food. Other amenities include modern laboratories and a computer laboratory, playgrounds, hall for conducting various occasions/seminars, medicine and health centre including first aid facilities, leisure hall/fitness centre, and accommodation units for guest faculty/ family members.

Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Science and Education has three full time courses as per field of education. Others are Bachelors in Education (B.Ed), Masters in Education (M.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary education (D.El.Ed). The total approved intake for these courses is principally 150 students, however, the admission for B.Ed is 100 students and M.Ed is 50 students. The institute deals with quality education in teacher training for effective preparation of students to secure better employment in the area of education.

As with many other universities, the admission to Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Science and Education, Datia, is done through merit system. Thus, for all the offered courses, B.Ed, M.Ed, and D.El.Ed, admissions are provided according the marks scored in the qualifying and/or entrance tests. Reservations for admission in the institute are done based on the policies set by state government or Union Territory administration and the university to which it is affiliated. This way there are no complains of bias as all the applications go through the process of being evaluated.
