Shri Sankirtan Brahmcharya Ashram Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Allahabad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

This is an affiliated college established in 1940 at Jhusi, Pratisthanpur, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh was known as Sankirtan Brahmcharya Ashram Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya. It is approved by National Council for Teacher Education and provides three full time course in different disciplines. The college currently has a total student’s population of 171 and faculty of 5 allowing for a more individualized educational experience. It is associated with Sanskrit literature and teaching academic programs including BA Shastri, MA Acharya, and B.Ed., for learners who seek knowledge in traditional Indian scriptures and to be teachers. 

The college possesses infrastructural facilities that facilitate learning among the student. A modern and well-stocked library is considered the academic resource center. That is why we have different hostel facilities for both male and female students for out station scholars. To support practical cases, the institution undertakes the provision of laboratories. There are agreed sporting amenities for exercise and recreation to improve on health and fitness of tenant. Another element in the college resources is also convenient IT facilities that arrange effective digital learning experience. An auditorium is used in conducting events and seminars, and a health center which consist of first aid station for the students. A meal is provided in the school to ensure that all students and staff get meals that are suitable for consumption. 

The entire course is covered in three full time programs offered by Shri Sankirtan Brahmcharya Ashram Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya. These include BA Shastri, a three year under graduate course; MA Acharya, a two year post graduate course, a two years B.ED course of teacher education. It also provides an approved annual and total intake by course of 60 for the B.Ed programme while othercourses do not mention an intake. The intake capacity of the college is spread over total students, which according to the present enrollment strength stands at 171 indicating no seat is vacant in the college for students.

Admission to Shri Sankirtan Brahmcharya Ashram Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya programmes mainly depends on merit. Besides the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, the college may take additional written test as per the rules in vogue in the State Government, U.T. Administration and the University to which the College is affiliated. This approach enables some deserving candidates to be given various programs.
