Shri Shivaji Jr. College of Education, Pusad, started in 1965 is an institution which is specially focusing in teacher education. This co-educational institution is located in Pusad, Maharashtra and for over five decades, has been preparing future educators. Accredited with NCTE, the college has a specialised curriculum in Elementary education. Pune being a city of intellectuals and technology freaks, this institute delivers a quality education to the 71 registered students within an area of 8 acres of campus spread with only 7 members in the faculty.

A variety of teaching helpers known as emergent facilities are in place to enrich the learning environment of the college to aspiring teachers. As integral component of academic resources is a library, filled with all needed educational and literature for students. The college also has departmental laboratories that offers the students practical training which are very relevant for current teaching practices. The quota for this program is 50 students while the Institute seeks to maintain a good student to teacher ratio to ensure quality delivery of the program. This increases the specialization of the College as it is able to direct its efforts toward effectively offering sound content-based programs that equip students with an intensive knowledge in elementary education.
