Shri Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal's Arts Science and Commerce College, Rahuri, was established in the year 1978. It stands tall among many affiliated colleges spread over an area of 16.4 acres, and its academic excellence shines throughout these four decades. The Institution, given its NAAC accreditation status, imparts 16 courses under 9 graduations. It caters to a gigantic student body of 4,243 learners with the management of dedicated faculty composed of 71 members which maintains a balanced ratio between students and teachers who could facilitate an environment capable enough to produce quality education and personal development. 

Shri Shivaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal's Arts Science and Commerce College also owns a good range of facilities complementing learning excellence. There is an excellent library with more than 52,428 documents. There are 39,745 books and 83 periodicals that make a knowledge hub for both teachers and students. The IT infrastructure of the institution boasts 135 branded PCs with high-speed internet connectivity. It maintains a girls' hostel for the holistic development of students and has a fully equipped gymnasium and various other sports facilities. There are 16 full-time courses available at the institution. Such highly sought-after undergraduate programmes as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, and BBA in Computer Application offer three-year courses. Postgraduate courses make up MA specialisations, M.Com, and M.Sc in specialised fields like Organic Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry. The total sanctioned intake for all the courses is good: 480 seats are offered by BA alone, 240 seats have been taken up in B.Sc and B.Com each, and 80 seats have been taken up in other courses, including BBA Computer Application and B.Sc Computer Science.
