The present college named Shri Siddeshwar Government First Grade College, Nargund was established in the year 1966 at Nargund, Gadag District of Karnataka state. This affiliated college situated in the area of 11.33 acres is rendering its services of providing educational facility to the region from last 50 years. College has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) under which college promises to deliver quality education. Consolidated with a total enrolment of 1,429 students and a faculty strength of 21, the institution participates 16 courses spanning 6 degree programmes thus catering multi- disciplinary academic and career needs of the students.
Shri Siddeshwar Government First Grade College has put in place many facilities that are meant to facilitate learning and the growth of our college’s students. Also, the facilities are well endowed with practical laboratories, an event and seminar hall and well-developed information technology resource to support the college’s Information and Communication Technology technology.

The institution offer 18 full time programmes out of which 6 are bachelors degree and 10 are masters degree programme.
