Shri Subhas Nagur Memorial Polytechnic, Bijapur, set up in 2008, is one of the prime technical colleges in Bijapur, Karnataka. This affiliated college recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), promotesa  variety of diploma programmes in engineering stream. Located in a premises of 5 acres of land, this polytechnic offers total intake capacity of 277 students and it has 18 hard working faculties. 

Shri Subhas Nagur Memorial Polytechnic boasts of a comprehensive education system for their students. The campus is technologically sound with necessary infrastructure facilities that are necessary for academic as well as co-academic activities. One advantage is that educational facilities are provided with the up-to-date labs in which students practice in their field of specialisation. It has a library which is well equipped to provide the knowledge needed for the curriculum. In addition, those who are interested in racing may join a racing club which is found on the campus, while for those who wish to maintain their body fitness, a gym is also found on campus. The polytechnic also takes care of the comfort of its students through provision of hostels for the male and female students in order to feel at home. There is an auditorium on the site to accommodate different conferences and seminars enhance students’ activities on and productive campus life. It also houses a health centre that mainly provides first aid facilities to the students of the institute.

The five full time courses being offered at Shri Subhas Nagur Memorial Polytechnic are all regular diploma courses. They comprise general branches with relevant degrees such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Each programme in the college is expected to equip the students with a solid background knowledge in their corresponding area of study for a better industry placement. An aggregate of 125 students across all levels has been approved intake capacity here, as the insistent objective of this institute at the present phase is to keep quality intact and not let class size distort it.
