Sr. Swami Vivekananda Junior College of Education Vidyalaya, Beed was started in 1965 and is a single-stream institution exclusively catering to teacher education. This is a co-educational institution situated in Vidhyanagar (East), behind the civil hospital in Beed of Maharashtra and aims at producing educators of the future for over five decades now. Affiliated with Rayalaseema University Kuni, it  is accredited under the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to meet the national standard of training teachers. Thus, the institute has a total enrolment of 63 students and faculty strength of 05 which provide excellent environment for students learning.

Among the facilities to be found within this college there are such that are aimed to improve the learning environment of the students. A library at Sr. Swami Vivekananda Junior College of Education Vidyalaya has the best stock and it is a resource centre where trainee teachers need to acquire knowledge from. Departmental laboratories are also situated at the institute making it easy for the depts to train students physically and practically. An auditorium helps to execute events and seminars, contributing into the creation of the oppressive studying environment. In the process of development the college provides sport complex thus students are encouraged to do sports for body and mind development. At present the Shri Swami Vivekananda Junior College of Education Vidyalaya provides only one main course, a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). This is a two-year full programme with the primary goal of preparing students for teaching at the basic level.

The admission procedure of the Shri Swami Vivekananda Junior College of Education Vidyalaya also depends up on the merit of the students as per the policy of Maharashtra state government. The achievements of qualifying exams such as the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), other similar certificates are considered when selecting students to join the courses.
