Shriyut Mahavidyalay, Gangeo, Rewa (established in the year 2000) is an affiliated college of Rewa. This is a co-educational institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), an assurance of quality of the teacher education programmes. Located in a thirty-acre area, the college has got the strength of one thousand eight hundred students and has twenty one faculties and professors. Shriyut Mahavidyalay has three professional courses in education for those who want to teach or to be physical education teachers. Education is one of the courses that the college majors in, hence making it a reputable institution in the state to students who want to be teachers.

Shriyut Mahavidyalay offers various amenities for practical and social activities for the best academic accomplishment of the students. It has total collection of 3676 books and also having subscription of different monthly magazines which is very helpful for the study. Any sports person is encouraged to join college because there are games pitches and courts, and the college also boasts of a fine gymnasia. Practical practical teaching instruments in Actual physical Physical fitness involve anthropometrical equipment, physiotherapy aids, fitness evaluation machines, that has been outfitted in the college laboratories appropriately. Further, it has an auditorium for seminars, celebrations etc., a canteen facility for serving snacks and a hostel facility for boys for out station students. The institution also has a health facility for cases of first aid and such a section addresses the general health of students while in school.

Shriyut Mahavidyalay, Gangeo provides three full time courses in education. These are Bachelors of Education (B.Ed), Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.ED). The B.Ed programme was established with 50 seats and the B.P.Ed programme and is the largest course offered in the institution with 100 seats. The D.El.Ed programme is also offered afresh and provides 50 seats. These academic programmes are developed to take two years to complete, and culminate in preparing prospective educators and physical education specialists. The college total enrollment from all the courses is 200 students, and the entire enrollment of the Tirana College is 1,800 students.

Shriyut Mahavidyalay, Gangeo’s admission criterion is based on the marks scored in the qualifying or the entrance test. For the B.P.Ed programme the criterion for selection is even more stringent as the candidates have to sit for a written exam and a sports efficiency test and physical fitness test ; besides the qualifying examination marks. The college abide by the admission policies provided by the State Government, UT Administration, & the affiliated University. Shriyut Mahavidyalay, Gangeo with its niche courses in education is catering the society by producing prospective teachers of Madhya Pradesh and country as whole.
