Sidana Polytechnic College, Amritsar, was established in the year 2011 lately approved as an Affiliated College in Vill: Khiala Khurd, Near Ram Tirath,Amritsar District, Punjab. Affiliated to university of Rajasthan and recognized by the All India Council For Technical Education, new Delhi, this institution imparts diploma and technical education courses. Being a campluate college the present enrolment of the college is 131 students whereas the teaching faculty comprises of 24 members.

In detail, Sidana Polytechnic College offers six different programs in one category of degree programme, degree of Polytechnic, Engineering and Vocation. This is clear because the college has specialized courses in Technical Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics and vocational courses in various new field.

Full time is the mode of Sidana Polytechnic College offering a total of six various courses available. This include three diploma courses in engineering discipline, and three D.Voc or Diploma in Vocational courses ; D.Voc Refrigeration And Air Conditioning and D.Voc Automobile Servicing, D.Voc Software Development The total approved intake for these courses is 210 The courses offered here include: Even though the current total enrollment and the overall graduation numbers across the last year are missing, it can now serve 131 students.

The admission process of Sidana Polytechnic College can be categorized through two main categories. For three-quarter of the total intake capacity for a particular discipline online centralized counselling is done on the basis of the annual Joint Entrance Test (JET) held by the Punjab State Board of Technical & Industrial Training (P.S.B.T.E & I.T.), Chandigarh. The remaining 25%, known as management quota, are filled at the institute level depending on the merit of the qualifying examination. This way and specify the criteria to be followed when recruiting students in equal and diversely.

Despite exact dates not being set, the to-be students are recommended to follow the JET examination and counseling dates declared by P.S.B.T.E & I.T.
