Silicobyte Katni Degree College of Professional Studies, Katni (SKDCPS) is an emerging educational institution, ever started in the year 2001. Situated in Katni (Madhya Pradesh) it has been imparting education in multiple fields at different levels – Undergraduate, Postgraduate, M.Phil and Ph.D. Affiliated college approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and all India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Total number of student enrolment in the institute is 608 with faculties strength of 34 which create healthy student- faculty ratio to give best education.

Silicobyte Katni Degree College of Professional Studies campus has developed modern infrastructure so as to provide ease to the students in learning process. SKDCPS provides ample accommodation to the female students in its well furnished girls’ hostel to avail mess service as well. This computerised library contains numbers of textbooks, reference books and Magazines on different subjects with great collection. For those who like sports there is a two large playgrounds where you can play football, volleyball, and badminton andetc. It also focuses on technological development has well equipped IT facilities for every student to enhance the studies.

SKDCPS has a diverse course list that spans from course offered at various levels of learning. The institute offers Academic Programmes in 24 courses offered across 13 Degree Programmes to suit a wide range of fields of interest among the students. This include Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Biotechnology and Microbiology, Bachelors of Commerce with different options, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelors of Computer Applications, Bachelor of Education. The following are post graduate known as M.Sc Computer Science’ ‘M.Sc ‘Biotechnology, Microbiology, M.Com, and Master of Arts in Education. Besides B.Ed, SKDCPS offers diploma courses for D.Pharma , D.El.Ed and DCA and one year PGDCA course. The institute also offers master’s degree in education sciences which has a sanctioned capacity of taking 100 students every academic year and D.Pharma programme which is having the capacity of enroling 60 students in every academic year.

However, the admission in Silicobyte Katni Degree College of Professional Studies is different in various courses. Under the B.Ed programme, admission shall be done strictly on merit that is marks secured in the qualifying examination and or entrance examination as per the policy of State Government, UT Administration and University. Likewise, admission to the D.El.Ed programme is done through marks obtained by candidate in qualifying examination and/or entrance test in accordance with the state government or UT administration.
