Silli College was set up in 1980 in Silli, Ranchi Jharkhand is an affiliated college. The institution occupies a campus area of 11.1 acres and it has number of under graduate programmes. Silli College is NAAC accredited, has a total strength of 4705 students and has 38 faculty members. The college offers 22 courses in 5 degree programmes, offering arts, commerce, and science streams. Silli College itself stands with a mission to have the students par excellence with strength, skill, and caratter building up a holistic education system.

Silli College provides many facilities that are introduced to help improve the experience of the learners. A library is stocked to ensure provision of information while departmental laboratories facilitates practical experience. An auditorium is also available for seminars and events and so the campus promotes an active educational environment. On the same grounds for the wellbeing of students there are facilities such as a health centre complete with first aid equipment and a gym. A lover of sports can make use of the many available sports facilities. The college also provides a boys hostel to provide accommodation facilities to the students who are out-station. To ensure that the campus provides for the needs of the students, staff and the community we have provided a canteen, convenience store and Automated Teller Machine (ATM). Through the computerised systems being implemented in establishments, the college provides means of communication to its students in the present world. Also, Silli College has functional alumni associations which are known to reunite students regardless their class of leaving the institution.

Silli College currently has a total of 19 under graduate programmes offered under arts, Science and Commerce streams. It offers all types of programmes; however, it emphasises full-time programmes and regular courses. The largest number of intakes is observed in the first phase for the BA programme, which has 1,834 seats BA English Hons and BA Sanskrit Hons etc. while the B.Sc has 161 and B.Com has 109. Thus, as for the total student intake capacity to be 4705, it is difficult to define the graduate number in the latest year.
