Singari Devi Smarak Mahavidyalaya, Ambedkar Nagar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Singari Devi Smarak Mahavidyalaya was founded in 2005, Affiliated to MJP Rohilkhand University and is situated at Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. The undergraduate and postgraduate courses are wide and cut across the different fields of discipline. The college has a total strength of 6,626 students and the faculty has 32 members to facilitate a good learning atmosphere. This institution takes a higher course in education; the program is accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). There are 20 courses available to students in 7 different study areas of the college with the most popular stream being Arts/Science/Commerce/ Education. The college has the following features to enable the students achieve the best results during their learning process. 

These laboratories are well equipped and the equipments and facilities used in the various laboratories are in compliance with the university policy and thus allows students handled the equipments in various scientific fields. The library with 100 seating arrangements is conforming to the NCTE norm for the B.ED faculty and students and also friendly point for all other faculties and courses. To ease transport for students the college has put in place transport services for easy and secure transportation from different places. There also amenities such as sporting fields which may be useful for colleges sports teams and for any sports lovers, there is a gym for body builders and fitness freaks. The institution also has a health centre with an emergency treatments to tackle health issues in an institution. 

This institution however has a total of 20 courses offered in the school which include both undergraduate and postgraduate education level classes. The course offerings cut across the faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce and Education. Full time courses are B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.Ed., along with number of M.A. And M.Sc. Streams. The college also has a course in D.El.Ed, for the students who want to become teachers in Elementary School. The total approved intake in B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. courses are 100 each but each course may have different intake capacity. It is a large institution, with a student population of 6,626 from all programmes.

The requirements of students in Singari Devi Smarak Mahavidyalaya also differ by program. Admission for courses like B.Ed and D.El.Ed are therefore meritorious status derived from the marks achieved in the qualifying examinations and/or entrance examinations. This appointment process also follows the policies of the state government and the university.
