Sinhgad College of Architecture, and as of now offers several programs that it conducts with various specializations. The rigorous process of admitting the most talented candidates for these architectural programs goes hand in hand with the procedures. SCOA is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. NAAC accredited along with a nod from Council of Architecture in ensuring quality of education for architecture aspirants.

There may not be a homogeneous admission process adopted by SCOA for all programmes. Undergraduate admissions are undertaken based on primarily score obtained in a national-level entrance examination. For postgraduate courses, for instance, M.Arch in Architectural Conservation and M.Arch in Computer Application, applicants need to hold a Bachelor's degree in Architecture with an aggregate of 50% marks, and 45% for backward class categories and persons with disability from Maharashtra. Besides, candidates have to obtain a score in MAH-M.ARCH-CET (Maharashtra Architecture Common Entrance Test).

The Ph.D. program of Architecture at SCOA is specially designed with some more specialized entry procedures. Application for the Doctoral program also requires qualification from national-level examination like GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) or GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) etc.

Application Process

The application procedure for Sinhgad College of Architecture, Pune is as follows, different for each course:

B.Arch

1. NATA or JEE Main Paper II.

2. State-level counseling process for Maharashtra state candidates.

3. Application form for SCOA. The application form is usually available on the college website or can be obtained from the admission office.

4. Application form along with required documents:

M.Arch Architectural Conservation and Computer Application

For Ph.D Architecture:

1. Qualify in GATE, GPAT, or other national-level examinations accepted by the institute.

Degree wise Admission Procedure

B.Arch: The intake for the SCOA Bachelor of Architecture program is 160 students. Admission to this five-year undergraduate course is based on the candidate's performance in either NATA or JEE Main Paper II. The eligibility criteria are successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

M.Arch Architectural Conservation: The postgraduate program admits 20 students. The applicant should have a bachelor's degree in Architecture with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the reserved categories from Maharashtra). Admission is through MAH-M.ARCH-CET score.

M.Arch Computer Application: Like the Architectural Conservation program, this M.Arch specialization has an intake of 20 students. Eligibility and admission criteria remain the same as that of M.Arch Architectural Conservation with a B.Arch degree and MAH-M.ARCH-CET score.

Ph.D Architecture: SCOA offers a doctoral program in Architecture with limited seats. Admission to the Ph.D. program requires candidates to qualify in national-level examinations such as GATE, GPAT, or other equivalent tests. The specific number of seats may vary, and candidates are advised to check with the institute for the most current information.
