Sinhagad College of Architecture is one such well-known college that has existed as early as in the year 2000. It happens to be a co-ed institute located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. Sinhagad College of Architecture is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University with the aim of developing prospective architects and designers for the industry. The total campus area is 5 acres, with 736 students enrolled in its courses of architecture. SCOA has well-equipped laboratories and a state-of-the-art computer laboratory having 50 computers and industry-standard software packages, which are AutoCAD, Revit Building, Maya, and Rhinoceros, to help students in facing any technological challenge associated with architecture. SCOA offers various courses in architecture at different levels of study. Courses offered in the institute. At present, there are 4 full-time courses running in the institute: B.Arch, two M.Arch programmes with specialisations in Architectural Conservation and Computer Application, and a Ph.D. programme in Architecture. Total number of intakes for all the programmes: 210 In the concerned total, B.Arch. is the largest number programme with a throughput of 160. It is a diversified course provision that enables students to continue their pursuit of architectural interests within undergraduate, master, and doctoral classes. This has accounted for continuous tracks for students in their study and practice development in architecture.

SCOA has technically designed the admission process to shortlist its most promising candidates for architectural programmes. For the B.Arch programme, admissions will strictly be based on scores in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture or the Joint Entrance Examination Main Paper II conducted by the Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test. For the M.Arch course, students at the time of admission must have passed a bachelor's degree in architecture with an aggregate mark of 50% or, in the case of backward class categories and persons with disabilities from Maharashtra, 45%. They are also required to secure a score in MAH-M.ARCH-CET. In the case of a Ph.D. course, all candidates have to qualify in GATE, GPAT, or any other national level examinations. SCOA accepts various entrance tests, like JEE Main, NATA, GATE, and GPAT.

Sinhgad College of Architecture, as of now, offers several programmes that it conducts with various specialisations. The rigorous process of admitting the most talented candidates for these architectural programmes goes hand in hand with the procedures.
There may not be a homogeneous Sinhgad College of Architecture admission process adopted by SCOA for all programmes. Undergraduate admissions are undertaken based on primarily scores obtained in a national-level entrance examination. For postgraduate courses, for instance, M.Arch in Architectural Conservation and M.Arch in Computer Application, applicants need to hold a bachelor's degree in architecture with an aggregate of 50% marks and 45% for backward class categories and persons with disabilities from Maharashtra. Besides, candidates have to obtain a score in MAH-M.ARCH-CET (Maharashtra Architecture Common Entrance Test).
The Ph.D. programme of architecture at SCOA is specially designed with some more specialised entry procedures. Application for the Doctoral programme also requires qualification from national-level examination like GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) or GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test), etc.

The intake for the SCOA Bachelor of Architecture programme is 160 students. Admission to this five-year undergraduate course is based on the candidate's performance in either NATA or JEE Main Paper II. The eligibility criteria are successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
M.Arch Architectural Conservation is a postgraduate programme admits 20 students. The applicant should have a bachelor's degree in architecture with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for the reserved categories from Maharashtra). Admission is through MAH-MARCH-CET score.
Like the Architectural Conservation programme, this M.Arch. Computer Application specialisation has an intake of 20 students. Eligibility and admission criteria remain the same as that of M.Arch Architectural Conservation with a B.Arch degree and MAH-M.ARCH-CET score.
SCOA offers a Ph.D. Architecture in architecture with limited seats. Admission to the Ph.D. programme requires candidates to qualify in national-level examinations such as GATE, GPAT, or other equivalent tests. The infrastructure of a college plays a vital role in the development of the college as the students are now focusing on the labs, class rooms, etc while selecting a college. It is important that the colleges have very good infrastructure with advanced laboratories equipped with state of the art equipment
The infrastructure is old and doesnt reflect the course being taught ie architecture. The spaces are usually clean. Hostels, libraries and labs are average. More focus the functionality of the space should be given. There are no proper assembly halls.
