Sir JC Bose School of Engineering, Hooghly: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Located in Hooghly, West Bengal, Sir J.C. Bose School of Engineering is formed in 2009. This is a co-educational institute spread over a vast area of 10 acres, allowing a very congenial atmosphere for technical education. The enrolment of students is 1008 with faculty strengths of 121, allowing for a healthy student-teacher ratio and ample individual attention, which ensures quality education. The institute is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Technology and has earned approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), signifying its commitment to maintaining high academic standards.

The various facilities provided are aimed at making the learning process enriching as well as all-round development-oriented. The state-of-the-art library serving as the learning resource centre has a vast collection of books, journals, and e-resources to support the academic pursuits of the students and faculty. The institute has hostel facilities, in-campus, separately available for both boys and girls and the allotment will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis. The medical room in Sir J.C. Bose School of Engineering is well equipped for first-aid and providing primary medical care to students, making sure health and safety measures. There are two green tops on the campus for outdoor games: one for football and another for cricket. 

Sir J.C. Bose School of Engineering provides various programs in Engineering to meet a wide range of interests and career goals. Presently, the institute offers four B.Tech programmes: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. 

Admission to the Sir J. C. Bose School of Engineering is aimed at selecting meritorious students who have an inclination for academics and ingeniously at engineering. The institution also accepts results from different national and state-level entrance examinations, such as the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Management Aptitude Test (MAT), and West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE).
