Sitaram Mahato Memorial College, Purulia, established in 2013, is a constituent institution at Anandadeep, West Bengal. Within a very short period of time, the college has been able to establish itself among the top centers of higher education in the locality. The college campus is spread over 6 acres of area and offers 9 different courses under 2 degree programmes mainly in Bachelor of Arts (BA) disciplines. The college offers all-round development experience to 1,837 students with 5 faculty members. It was dedicatedly committed towards quality education, and the long list of specializations it offers in Bengali, English, Geography, History, Sanskrit, Santali, Political Science, and Anthropology depicts this.

Sitaram Mahato Memorial College has many good facilities that can enrich the learning experience and support academic activities. Sitaram Mahato Memorial College offers a total number of nine courses, out of which BA course is the main course, and there are quite a few honours specifications under it. The general BA programme has an intake of 300 students.

Sitaram Mahato Memorial College opens up admission procedures at every June month immediately after declaration of Higher Secondary (+2) Examination Results. For BA courses in the present college, a candidate has to qualify in Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent examination. Admission is purely online with merit basis strictly following the guidelines of the State Government and the affiliating Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University. The transparent process allows the meritorious candidate to get the right to pursue higher education with the institution.
