Affiliated with Gulbarga University, the SK College of Arts and Commerce, Talikoti, was started in 1977 in Vijayapur district of Karnataka. This institution has been accredited by NAAC which is an indication of quality education from this institution. Located on an area of 11 acres, this college is providing a number of undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce and Science. SK College is a coeducational institution with 1,087 students and 31 members of faculty that make sure a right setting for student learning and development. The college offers three full-time degree programmes, BA, B.Com, and B.Sc courses that addressing the academic streams and professional ambitions of candidates.

SK College has a list of facilities that aims at improving the learning environment of the college students. The library, situated at the centre of a knowledgebase, occupies an area of more than 695.22 square meters and contains over 35100 volumes of text reference, both in texts and or electronic format. It has the seating capacity of 200 students at one time and acts as a special study and research library area. In addition, the college provides modern educational facilities such as well-equipped laboratory, auditorium for college events and seminars, and thirty-two computer laboratory.

SK College of Arts and Commerce has in total a leverage of three undergraduate courses, which are all, full time courses. The largest number of students happens to intake on the Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme with 350 intakes and the second highest is on the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) with 140 intakes. The college also has a B.Sc programme but the intakes for this course are not specified at the moment.
