SKD College for Higher Education has been set up in 2013 at Hanumangarh of Rajasthan. This is a co-educational institution that is an affiliated college accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located in Suratgarh Road, near the Toll Plaza the college provides integrated courses in teacher education. The total student enrolment recorded for SKD College is 704 and the faculty and staff is comprised of 38 members thereby giving targeted learning to the prospective teachers. The institute offers two integrated programmes that introduce Bachelor’s degree options with B.Ed for students who wish to take on teaching profession.

SKD College for Higher Education also has various physical infrastructures that are worthy of improving the college climate. The campus has separate hostels for boys and girls to allow the outstation students to have comfortable stay. A well-equipped library is an information centre and IT facilities are designed for effective use of innovative approaches to education. As to health and fitness infrastructures, the college has a small gym and the sports facilities. There is a camp site dispensing of first aid where students in need can get some medical assistance, this is an on-campus health centre. Other facilities available include a canteen for sale of foods and snacks, a hall that doubles up as a cinema and as a hall for seminars and other events and practical laboratories for practical lessons. The college also boasts of transport facilities meaning that students as well as the staff will easily be ferried to and from college.

SKD College for Higher Education currently offers two full-time integrated courses: B.Sc B.Ed and BA B.Ed. These are assumed four-year programmes which are supposed to give a broad academic preparation with major in a subject area and minor in teaching strategies. The college offers some courses that are related to teacher education this prepares students to work in the educational field. 

Admission procedure at SKD College for Higher Education is based of merit, candidates’ performance in the qualifying examination is taken into account. The college may also undertake tests for admission or follow other admission procedures based on the Rajasthan state government policies and that of the affiliated university on its own. Freshmen are warned that the requirements and procedures for applying to the college may change from year to year.
