SKR Government Degree College, Gudur, is established in the year 1965. It is a co-educational institution located at Tilak Nagar, Gudur of Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. Above 80 acres of college ground are affiliated to it and duly accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college offers several undergraduate courses with a total student enrollment of 133 and a faculty strength of 22. SKR Government Degree College offers 7 courses in 3 degrees, that is, in the departments of arts, commerce, and sciences. 

It has numerous facilities for its students to pursue education and develop an all-round personality. The library is fully stocked and functional between 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, being a very handy asset in support of study matters; there are around 20 students who use the same every day. Students with a requirement for stay would have a boys' as well as girls' hostel to maintain good accommodation in order that out-of-town students enjoy excellent living. It provides all the modem amenities within the campus, such as a well-equipped laboratory to aid practical learning, an auditorium to organize events and seminars, a gymnasium to retain physical fitness, and excellence in IT infrastructure in aid of digital learning and the research activities of the Institution. 

The SKR Government Degree College has a total of 7 undergraduate courses that are carried out as full-time programs in B.A  B.Com., and B.Sc. with various specializations, thus keeping a good student-to-teacher ratio for quality education.
