SMBT Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, Nashik, Maharashtra, is relatively young and it was established in the year 2016. Located in Nashik, this affiliated college has come up as one of the best for dentistry within a short span. The institute is recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI) in order to maintain sound educational quality for dental programmes offered. It is a focused campus offering the right climate for learning with a student strength of 399 and faculty strength of 79. 

SMBT Institute of Dental Sciences and Research has several facilities that are created to serve the student and can in one way or the other improve their experience in their study. At present, SMBT Institute of Dental Sciences and Research offers one primary course, the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). This is a full time programme that takes five years and having an approved intake capacity of one hundred seats. The BDS course still aims at making the students have a sound foundation within the dental sciences and does this through the use of both the theories associated with dentistry as well as the practical aspect of dentistry. It is beneficial because focusing on one specialised programme means that the institute can allocate the necessary amount of resources for effective preparation of students for work in the field of dentistry.

NEET UG is the medium through which students get admitted to the BDS programme at SMBT Institute.
