The Smt. Addepalli Mahalakshmi Devi College of Education for Women, Rajahmundry, established in 2002, is a leading college to train future generation teachers. This women’s college was set up in 1977; it is located in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. The college is an affiliated institution recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) that aims to maintain quality in education and teacher education programs. The college is located on a scarce land space of 0.63 acres; it has a present student population of 148 females only, as it serves education to females mostly. Currently, the college has a faculty strength of 15 members and is also trying to maintain a student-teacher ratio so that every student can get individual attention from their teacher.

Smt. Addepalli Mahalakshmi Devi College of Education for Women provides two courses , which are regular courses in teacher education. The B.Ed. programme has an approved admitted capacity of 200, and the D.El.Ed. programme has a total of 50 admitted capacity.
