Smt Kamala and Sri Venkappa M Agadi College of Engineering and Technology, Gadag: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Smt. Kamala and Sri Venkappa M. Agadi College of Engineering and Technology popularly known as SKSVMACET was started in the year 2003, established in Gadag, Karnataka. This affiliated college approved at AICTE offers several courses in undergraduate levels of engineering disciplines. Spread over 24.24 acres of area, SKSVMACET has paid accommodation facility to its 1302 students and has a faculty of 62 members. The college has six full- time B.E.programs/specializations out of which Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication are most popular among students. It enrolls 1,141 undergraduates, of which 54% are male students, and 46% are female students.

At SKSVMACET facilities are a point of pride and corresponds to today’s stringent standards to bolster student life. The developed boys’ and girls’ hostels accommodate resident students in a comfortable and adequately facilitated manner. A health center provides medical services for the college population and is accompanied by a contemporary gym. 

Academic research and learning are supported by the digital library, consisting of forty computers. Pedagogy makes use of elaborate sports facilities for both sports and physical growth and development together with academic development. Campus Wi-Fi and other technologies of this college provide facilities to the students, and teachers as well to make digital learning and communication effective. A cafeteria, guest house facilities and SBI ATM on campues all add up to create a more conductive environment for learning.

In all, the SKSVMACET provides six undergraduate engineering courses all of which are four-year full time B.E. Courses. They are as follows: Overall student intake annualized is 674 while the total student intake for all the courses offered in the college is 1,302. All the six programs including Mechanical Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering have been approved for an intake of 60 students each. Such a versatile list of specializations enables the students to select a definite area that they would like to practice in.

The admission process at SKSVMACET is primarily based on the performance of candidates in two key entrance examinations: the Under Graduate Entrance Test of the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK UGET and the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). Applicants should note their ways towards the given university’s standards for admission as stated in the universities rules and regulations. 

One of the ways admission is done in the college include the consideration of scores attained in these examinations. For the record, of the total enrolment of 1,141 students in the undergraduate program in the forthcoming academic year, 122 benefitted from any form of scholarship money proving the institution’s seriousness in supporting deserving candidates. We could not establish the information concerning the individual alumni but the college pursued the interest of its alumni in enhancing the general development of the college students.
