Smt. L.P. Patel Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology, Anand, was established in 1981 as one of the premier constituent colleges located in Karamsad, in the state of Gujarat. It is a co-educational institute covering 100 acres, exclusively dedicated to the education of medical laboratory technology. There are 2 specialised courses with an enrolment of 67 students and 11 faculty members.
Myriads of facilities are meant to enrich the learning experiences and general welfare of the students. The hands-on training in medical laboratory technology, which is very essential for such education, is availed through the equipment available in the state-of-the-art laboratories located on the campus. For aiding research and studies, a well-stocked library is provided: the think hub. It is also a residential building for both boys and girls, and separate hostels are provided to create a positive and hygienic living atmosphere. Auditorium: Vibrancy in the institute and academic atmosphere is quite assured. Besides this, students are also facilitated with a cafeteria of healthy food and a convenience store of all daily needs right inside Smt. L.P. Patel Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology in this regard.
This institute provides two full-time courses in the field of medical laboratory technology. Focused attention and quality education to every student are guaranteed by the institute. The intake for the Diploma course is 60, and that of the MS.c is. The maximum faculty number is 10, thus making it crystal clear that the institute has been taking care of the optimum student-teacher ratio and accorded personalized attention to one and all.

B.Sc Radiology is a three-year degree course. Radiology comprises scanning and obtaining pictures of the body to deduce and treat various diseases. The course programme is constructed to educate learners on the various techniques of radiographic imaging and extract valuable evidence about a patient.
Eligibility norm
A student who qualified for their Class 12 board examination in the stream of science from an acknowledged board. Learners should have obtained a score of 50 per cent or more in mandatory subjects such as Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. Students must qualify for the entrance test along with other sessions with the needed cutoff defined by the institute.
