Smt. M.M. Shah College of Education, Surendranagar, began to work in the year 1973 and is one of the prime teacher educational institutions working in Wadhwancity, Gujarat; affiliated college; duly accredited by NAAC and approved by NCTE. It is an institution located on a 6.5-acre campus in an ideal setting and offers focused programs in its curriculum field, with only one degree offered and a total student enrolment of 55. It has a faculty strength of six, who are committed teachers providing personal attention and quality education to aspiring teachers.

This institute tries to provide, within its limited folds, an overall learning setting with a host of facilities to aim at all-round development in its learners—be it academic or personal. Among these diverse set-ups, the college library is one significant one as it caters to a large area with a variety of different types of books and journals, periodicals, and dailies in different subjects. Comfortable seating arrangements with modern facilities, available in the institution, have enabled proper study. Another important factor is a well-kept college computer laboratory that offers LAN-connected systems with sufficient attached printers and internet facilities, hence enabling enough development of digital literacy by students. The interested candidates have also been provided with sports and physical education by the college, which has given several equipment and fields for playing badminton, cricket, and athletics. The college aims at the wellness of the students, and hence it has provided a health centre where first-aid is provided to all the students with hostel facilities through the mother institution Vikas Vidyalaya.

Smt.M.M Shah College Of Education is only into teacher education and thus conducts a single course known as the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. The intake of this two-year full-time course is approved at 100 seats; thus, there are many opportunities for the aspirants of education. This B.Ed. program is designed to make a student develop skills and knowledge to the best extent possible.
