About Smt Narayani Devi Girls College, Alwar

Girls college namely Smt. Narayani Devi Girls College, Alwar was founded in the year 2004 which is an affiliated college for girls at Behror, Rajasthan. The institution, that occupies a 2.59 acre land, is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college has a total of 1,092 and 19 members of the faculty meaning that the college has a intimate learning environment. At present, the current college offers only one degree program, which is B.Ed with an approval to admit one hundred students. From the programs and facilities provided they clearly show that the college seeks to empower women through education.

The college has facilities that would make the study experience a better one. A rich collection of books plays an important role in learning resource center and provides access to more than 80000 books, 76 values and subscribing to 76 journals. This makes it possible to accommodate about 120 users at a time while seated in the library’s well sized reference section. 

For health and wellness, the college has put in place provisions of a health center with first aid provisions and a gym to enhance on the health wellbeing of the college staff and students. There are several activities offered and they include; football, table tennis, basketball, volley ball, cricket, badminton, chess and carom. The college also prides in having a well-equipped computer laboratory with internet connection to support computer and internet enhanced learning and teaching.

Smt. Narayani Devi Girls College currently offers one full-time course: these the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. This two-year programme has an approved intake capacity of one hundred students to reflect the college mission of educating teachers. Although the college data reveals that the programmes have Expanded student intake and currently offer intake of 1092 students, in the qualititative analysis made, information regarding other courses or number of students graduated in the latest year cannot be accessed.

This is because the admission of the students to the B.Ed program at Smt. Narayani Devi Girls College is done based on the merit.
