Smt. Saraladevi Satheshchandra Agarwal Government First Grade College, Bellary, come into existence in 1985 is one of the premier and accredited premier first grade colleges affiliated to Kuvempu University, Jnana Sahyadri, Shankaraghatta, Karnataka, First Grade College is autonomous. The college is located on a two-acre campus with 8 degree programs that award 21 courses. The college enrolment stands at 3,867 students and 41 members of faculty implying a good student-faculty ratio. 

Quality education is considered by this institution hence it holds a membership with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is a co-educational institution that accustoms the rights of both male and female students and they offer many specialties for Arts, Commerce and Science.
