About Smt Vijaya Luke College of Nursing, Visakhapatnam

The Smt. Vijaya Luke College of Nursing was established in the year 2006, affiliated to the Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh. It was subsequently approved by the Indian Nursing Council for the study of nursing. The college is established over a meager 1.5-acre campus with an enrolment capacity of 175 students and a faculty strength of 20. The institute offers a single degree program: B.Sc. Nursing consists of a diploma course with a sanctioned intake of 50 students. It is a full-time course that imparts practical knowledge about the medical nursing profession and equips the student with the capabilities to seek an immediate career in health services. 

The college is supported by infrastructure that helps students learn properly and stay healthy. It provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls to stay comfortably from varying distances. The college houses First Aid facilities supported by a Health Centre, considering the health and safety of students. A digital library connected with online connectivity and online resources allows access to nursing journals and reference materials, supportive of their academic research and study. The college also enjoys IT infrastructure for modern learning methods. An auditorium on the campus hosts a series of events and seminars in order to boost the overall experience of learning. 

Smt. Vijaya Luke College of Nursing offers a B.Sc. Nursing program only, which is conducted as a full-time course with an exclusive four-year span. This exclusive approach allows the institute to concentrate all its resources and expertise in the delivery of quality nursing education. This program has an approved intake of 50 seats.
