Snehangshu Kanta Acharya Institute of Law, Kalyani is a well-known affiliated college, which came into being in the year of 2004. This 5000 sq. ft. court on the first floor simulates an actual courtroom where students can practice their arguments and build up confidence for future legal fights. Degree wise Admission Process
BA LLB (Hons): The BA LLB (Hons) is a 5-year integrated program offered by SKAIL. The admission procedure for such a course is quite straightforward and purely on the basis of academic merit. The intake capacity of the institute for this course comprises 120 seats. It does offer admission to all eligible candidates on a first-come-first-serve basis, subject to qualification. The fees for the BA LLB (Hons) course are around Rs. 150,000 in total.
LLM: The LLM is a 2-year postgraduate program at SKAIL. The admission process for this program is more elaborate and consists of various phases:
1. Candidates must first appear for the admission test conducted by the institute.
2. Their performance in this test is considered together with their past academic record in the LLB degree examination.
3. Candidates are shortlisted for the second stage after these two criteria.
4. Shortlisted candidates will then participate in the group discussion.
5. Finally, selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the group discussion.

Toilet not adequate and clean. No moot court rooms with proper infrastructure. Living places and rooms are fairly clean. Library not well supplied with current books. The foods are hygienic but not of much variety.
