SNM Institute of Management and Technology (SNMIMT), is an affiliated college, and was set up in the year 2002 in Ernakulam, Kerala. Blacklisted by AICTE, SNMIMT delivers a wide range of engineering courses covering almost all the disciplines. The institute is located on vast 45 acre area something which is quite useful for studies, research and higher learning. SNMIMT currently has recruited and empowered 108 members of the faculty to provide quality education in the field of engineering and technology.

SNM Institute of Management and Technology has facilities that are effective in supporting student academic and personal needs as follows. The library which is built over 4000 square feets has books more than 12000 and many national and international journals. This one has a reading room that can accommodate about one hundred and fifty students, together with an e-library and internet connection. The college provides hostel accommodation independently for both boys and girls to provide adequate accommodation for out station students. Boys’ hostel having very good kitchen facility and dining halls having capacity of more than hundred students at a time Girls’ hostel having large spacious rooms having proper study facilities. The campus amenities includes a Gym, sporting facilities, computer and internet enabled labs, A Canteen, An Auditorium used for, among other things, seminars.

The courses provided by SNMIMT include a total of 14 courses at two levels, that is B.Tech as well as Diploma. The B.Tech programmes from the college are Computer Science and Engineering Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Instrumentation & Control Engineering Electrical & Electronics Engineering Mechanical Engineering B. Tech Civil Engineering. Further, the institute started specialised B.Tech programme in Computer Science and Engineering with Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence emphasis. The Diploma courses include Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering Electronics and Electronics Engineering, Diploma Electronics and communication Engineering, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. All of the offered programmes are Daytime Programmes and enable students to gain thorough theoretical and practical knowledge within the chosen field.

First and foremost, the entrance into SNMIMT has been made through the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) examination organised by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala. Any admission in B.Tech programmes is purely on merit basis, with seats available for government quota and management quota. Many branches of engineering are offered in the institute and KEAM score is used fairly and competitively for admission. At SNMIMT, commitment to develop industry linkages is well illustrated by forming alumni association in the year 2009. It oversees the improvement of the link between the college and alumni and plays a positive role in the development of the college and its students. To achieve its goals the association offer scholarship awards at the end of the year such as “Best Outgoing Student of the Year” “Alumnus of the year “ this help motivate the student to achieve excellent results in their test and exams.
