SIMT which stands for Social Institute of Management and Technology was set up in 2006 and is affiliated college located at Jalandhar, Punjab. With this campus size of only 1 acter SIMT provides concentrated atmosphere for the learning process for its students. It has 34 students, while it only has 7 members in its faculty to date. SIMT offered two undergraduate programmes, these focuses on management and technology. Nonetheless, this institute being a small institute has a vision of offering quality education in it’s offered areas of specialisation.

It also has two computerised laboratories which are well furnished with the latest equipments embedded in Windows 2K and Unix. For the physical activities, SIMT has facility for both indoor and outdoor games. The infrastructure of the campus comprises of a separate sitting area for girls and boys and a large seminar hall for use by both academic and extracurricular activities.

In terms of academic offerings, SIMT currently provides two full-time courses: Indo Canadian Infotech = Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Both of the programmes are structured to take three years to complete in their respective fields of specialisation. Unfortunately, data regarding the actual numbers of intakes for those specific courses it impossible to find, however, the total intake capacity of the institute is 34, which suggests that the institute is providing education with having relatively small groups of students.

Applicants are advised to undertake simple admission, although the guidelines on how the procedure is undertaken is hard to come by at SIMT. As for the BBA or BCA, the prospective students need to contact the institute directly for the last information about the requirements to the documents, the deadlines for their submission, and perhaps, the entrance examinations.
