Sofia College of Nursing was established in the year 2003 in Bangalore Karnataka it is one of the best nursing colleges in Karnataka. This coeducational institute is located on a 2 acre of land and is concerned with producing competent healthcare professional. Recognised by INC-Indian Nursing Council The college offers various courses in nursing with total 8 specialisation containing 4 degrees. The college offers quality education and personal attention with a total student enrolment of 383 and faculty of 34. One of the most important factors is the quality of the developing institute that own bright ambiance and carefully designed curriculum to equip their talented students for the challenging world of healthcare.

Sofia College of Nursing has a variety of well equipped modern facility that the college has installed with the view of facilitating learning of our students. The laboratories such as Fundamentals of Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Midwifery, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, and Nutrition & Biochemistry with technologically aided facilities are benefited for practical sessions. The college library is well stocked and well equipped with books, foreign nursing journals, audiovisual aids among others. They are also able to access e-journals and also the Helinet facility. As a result of this, the college provides high performance computers with internet connection to meet the needs of the students in modern technological advancement in nursing science. For all around development the institute conducts sports week and the physical facility includes both indoor as well as outdoor games. The campus has provided an auditorium that facilitates programmes and seminars forEvents further enriching the academia.

Sofia College of Nursing prepares its students and offers a whole spectrum of the Nursing course for different specialties and levels. The institute offers 8 full time courses which include undergraduate and post graduate ones. At the undergraduate level the programme one can opt for is a 4 year degree course B.Sc Nursing or a 2 year Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. For the more ambitious student there is a number of 2-year Master of Science in Nursing programmes available and include Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Gynecological Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, and Psychiatric Nursing. Further, there is General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course in the college. In total, regarding all courses offered, there are only 105 approved intakes for all the seats provided, which allows students to have a quality education.
