Soma Subhadramma Raman Goud Women's College, Raichur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

It is dubbed Soma Subhadramma Raman Goud Women’s College and is a private college in the city of Raichur, in the state of Karnataka in India and was started and established in the year, 1970. As a college connected with Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Vijayapura it provides the education in arts, humanities, social sciences and commerce streams. The college occupies a 1.2 acre piece of ground and comprises 446 students in all and which are exclusively female. It is affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and offers three Undergraduate degree courses. It retains the faculty strength of 5 and has been trying to provide education for women in the region at its best.

The college can well be equipped with more infrastructures to facilitate learning and growth of students. A library has over 27,245 volumes of books both encyclopedias and periodicals that provide an appropriate place for students, researchers and scholars. This institution offers well-equipped modern laboratories as a basis of handling practical sessions. For the convenience of students, there is a girl’s hostel with proper vegetarian food, safe drinking water and power supply. There is also an entertainment facility in a form of an auditorium, a dining hall in the form of a cafeteria, attractive play ground and indoor games to enhance physical exercises for students and a health facility where students receive medical care services from a permanent qualified doctor. Computer literacy is enhanced with a computer laboratory that consist of 18 computers to prepare students for forthcoming technological advance.

Soma Subhadramma Raman Goud Women's College offers three full-time undergraduate courses: S, Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com and Bachelor of Social Work (BSW). The proposed programs and courses of study take three years to complete. The college offers all its courses in full time and the total student capacity to be admitted is 378. There are no figures available as to how many students graduated in the year prior to this year but it centers on the production of quality students for the workplace.
