Sonada Degree College was established in the year 1985 and situated in the Southeast hilly terrain of West Bengal, attached to the North Bengal University in Siliguri. This college is located in the Darjeeling district. The college offers different undergraduate courses related to the arts stream. The compact 2.66-acre college campus presently hosts an enrollment of 159 students and a faculty strength of 19 devoted educators. 

It has a well-equipped range of facilities that caters to the means of the learning experience of students. A well-furnished library also acts as a hub of knowledge for academic advancements. The sports facilities help to maintain a healthy equilibrium between studies and play for the inclined towards athletics. The campus further houses an auditorium to hold activities and seminars, thereby creating the pulsating feeling around the campus. Sonada Degree College offers a full-time five undergraduate course under the Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme. The offered courses include a general degree in BA and four honors specialisations in Nepali, English, Political Science, and History.
