Sonamukhi College, Bankura, was established in the year 1966 situated at Sonamukhi in West Bengal, India. This affiliated college spreads over an area of 7 acres campus to 3,232 enrolled students. Sonamukhi College has a faculty of 66 dedicated teachers who offer 21 different courses under six different degree programs to meet divergent academic interests and varying career aspirations. 

The institution has a wealth of facilities in order to make learning and other aspects of the students' development very comprehensive. At the central hub of these facilities lies the Central Library, which has a stock of more than 20,000 printed books, manuscripts, and extremely rare reference materials. It also subscribes to more than 6,300 e-journals and 100,000 e-books under the N-LIST consortium of INFLIBNET. The sports lovers will have a huge playground of 3,825 square meters within the college campus, where the annual sports events of the college are organized and many games can be played by the students. The science laboratories are well maintained with a computer laboratory having internet facilities and a gymnasium in association with the Physical Education Department.
