Soniya Education Trust’s College of Pharmacy, Dharwad, is one of the pioneer institutions involved in education in the field of pharmacy and was established in 1992. This College of Pharmacy has been founded by Soniya Education Trust and it presents a broad range of programmes in all levels of the pharmaceutical educational system. The institute sponsors 10 courses that fall under five degree-offering programmes, which include undergraduate, masters, doctorate, and diploma programmes. The B.Pharma program, one of the flagship courses in the college, has a student intake of 100 students. The college offers specialised M.Pharma-level programmes in the following: pharmacology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, and quality assurance, which has a capacity of 15 students for all the programmes except quality assurance, which has a capacity of 9 students.
college also provides D.Pharma programme with total intake of 60, a Pharm.D., and Pharm.D postbaccalaureate with 30 intake each. For those with interest in research, there is a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Science programme. All courses are day programmes which give intensive and exclusive concentration on the course work. The total approved intake is 439, encompassing all the programmes offered in the college, which proves significant capacity of the college at pharmaceutical education.
