South Salmara College, which started its journey in 1986, is an affiliated college situated at Dhubri in Assam. Located in a charming area of 20 acres of grounds, this college focuses the task of education of a student in this area. Currently, South Salmara College has 580 students and 22 faculties which means that the college provides individual attention. The college itself currently delivers three full-time undergraduate programmes: two of which are honours courses. These are characteristic features that can facilitate the educational process in the college.
The focal facilities of these amenities are central libraries featuring rich stock of textbooks, references, and substantive level books. The centre of attention also has a cozy library with a reading hall for both members of the faculty as well as students. Although there is no specific detail about the completion of the total number of seat to each course but the total student intake of college is 580 strong and it could be understand from this that the college has little bit relaxation to offer the class size to help for better learning process.

As per given admission procedure the college admit the students for all the three courses offered by the college like BA, BA Political Science (Hons) and BA Assamese (Hons).
