Sponsored Teachers Training College, Purulia, was started in the year 1964 situated at Purulia in West Bengal. This co-ed college is affiliated with the University of Burdwan and approved by National Council for Teacher Education. Spread across an area of 5.18 acres, the compact setting provides just the right learning environment for its future teachers. Although the student enrolment is 97 and the faculty strength 6, the atmosphere remains closely interactive for personalized learning and mentorship.

This college has separate hostels for boys and girls, accommodating 36 and 34 students respectively. Each of these hostels is provided with its own dining hall as well as other basic facilities.
