24 MonthsBachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year full-time undergraduate course approved by the National Council for Technical Education (NCTE) and offered by The West Bengal University of Teachers Training Education Planning and Administration, Kolkata.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates (both Deputed 5% seats & Fresher 95% seats) with at least 50% marks, in aggregate, considering all the subjects studied and passed out (45% for SC/ST/PWD) either in Bachelor’s Degree (General Pass or Hon’s) and/or in Master’s Degree in Mathematics/Science/Social Science/Language (in subjects as specified under each category in the application format). Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD) against a minimum total of 300 marks' question paper or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the program. There is no age restriction for deputed teachers. An Intending fresher candidate must not be more than 37 years of age.
Admission Details
Admission Shall be Made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of the state government/U.T. Administration and the university.
