It was affiliated college of Osmania University and named as Sravanthi Institute of Elementary Teacher Education Dharmaram. This institute is recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offers elementary teacher education. Ours is the Sravanthi Institute of Elementary Teacher Education and it offers only one course, which is the Diploma in Education (D.Ed.). This course is a two-year full-time programme for which the college has sanctioned an inflow of 50 first-year students. The D.Ed. course offers students the opportunity to become professional teacher for the primary and upper primary classes since it is a qualification programme to the teaching profession in elementary education.
At Sravanthi Institute of Elementary Teacher Education, selection is done through merit performance in the qualifying test or entrance test, whichever is applicable.
