Sree Ayyappa College, Eramallikkara, the self-financing college, was started in the year 1995 and this college is an affiliated college in Chengannur, Alappuzha District of Kerala. Situated on a beautiful landscape area of 11.861 acres, this institution is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is positioned to offer 9 study programmes in 4 degree levels to a total of 391 learners. Sree Ayyappa College is not only a co-educational institution, though male and female students are 193 and 240, respectively. The institution has a faculty of 18 quality faculty members, which helps us ensure that all our students get personal attention.

The college believes in education that encompasses a student, hence its provision of many amenities deemed to spur students towards attaining their goals. The campus houses a good library with an INFLIBNET N-LIST facility that exposes students to a wide source of e-books and e-journals. For female students, the hostel facility is available, with a hosting capacity of 90 residents with internet connection and a TV/reading room. Other recreation amenities of the development would include multi-gym and there will be adequate facilities to participate in indoor and other outdoor physical activities. The college also provides and sustains relevant IT facilities to enable students to cope with current technological developments.

Sree Ayyappa College includes all the standard UG and PG courses. There are 8 full-time undergraduate courses and a single full-time postgraduate course offered by the institution. The thirty Ph.D full-funded scholarship for international students and programme has a fully approved student intake of 40 students for a flagship course, b.com computer applications. Although information on the total number of seats available for all the courses is not accessible, the total student intake in this college is 391. The array of courses offered belongs to several fields such as computer science, electronics, biochemistry, mathematics, commerce, English, Hindi, Malayalam, etc. levels of study.
