Sree Chaitanya Mahabidyalaya, Habra was established in the year 1965 as an affiliated college. The campus is located in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. The college has received its accreditation by NAAC and provides undergraduate and graduate levels of study in various subjects. The campus is constructed on 6.5 acres with a total student enrolment of 1959. The institute offers 14 courses in 7 different degree streams with specializations such as Arts, Commerce and Science. The college has 13 faculty members who work relentlessly on the path of quality education in various disciplines.
Under the facilities available, the college has particularly given much attention to student amenities. There are separate two-storied boys' and girls' hostels in the campus meant for students coming from far-flung areas with furnished rooms, food, and all other essential facilities. The library is a rich source of knowledge with more than 29,000 books and journals pertaining to diversified subjects. Laboratories in Food & Nutrition, Chemistry, Microbiology, Physiology, and Physics are well-equipped to support practical learning.
